A Brief timeline of the History of Eagley Crickey Club.

1837  The club was established and the owners of the Mills allow the club,then known as Eagley Bridge Cricket Club,to use the ground which the club has occupied ever since.

          Friendly matches were organised with other clubs near and far.Then, the duration of the match was two innings each side and 50runs per inns was considered a decent score.   

1889 Eagley was a founder member of the Bolton & District Cricket Association.The league was formed after a meeting  held on 9th Nov 1888 in Bolton.                    

         Whilst in the B & D C A, Eagley won the Championship 3 times and the Cross Cup 10 times. 

1930 Eagley become a founder member of the Bolton Cricket League.To date the club has won the championship 3 times and the Hamer Cup 6 times.

1972 Devastating news,The Mills were closed and the sports grounds put up for sale.After several years of heartache and desperate fund raising the grounds were purchased

        and the legal conveyance of the grounds took place on 2nd January 1979.

1995 The new clubhouse was opened for the use of all Eagley complex sections.Cricket,Football,Tennis,Archery Rounders.
